Our Story

Walk into a Lillians Shoppe and you will hear bells ringing, women applauding and yelling 'FREE handbag!', or even 'Man in the store!' What's not to love about bells going off, one purchase at a time, as someone cashes in their Lillians punch card for FREE merchandise? Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra serenade you as you as you shop! The volume between the beloved crooners and the Lillians shoppers can be difficult to divide, but when the day is done, "That's Amore" and "I've Got the World on a String" seems appropriate when asked to describe the Lillians experience.

Open every weekend each month, Lillians features ridiculously affordable fashion, handbags, jewelry, sunglasses, scarves, and other fun "must have" accessories - great fashion and accessory labels you'll find at boutiques and department stores but at incredible Lillians prices! Each month we showcase fabulous new merchandise during our open dates.

Lillians began in 2005 when two enterprising sisters, Cindy Dueser and Sue Olmscheid, opened the first Lillians in Buffalo, Minnesota. Some said they were crazy when they had the idea for a really hip and chic shoppe for women - where the Shoppes are not open every day and yet still provide a shopping experience of a lifetime. A tall order? Not so. Lillians combines the perfect ingredients that women have been waiting for; a high-touch and fun shopping experience like no other.

Lillians has opened our doors to our customers every Thursday-Saturday and occasionally Sundays! We have re-located to 10 Central Ave Buffalo, MN where our customers will find us in the heart of the occasional sale block.  Shop great fashion and accessories at your favorite downtown boutique!

Grandma Lillian

A mother to six beautiful daughters, Grandma Lillian was a hard working farmer's wife from Greenfield, Minnesota. From the fields to the fresh garden, Grandma Lillian knew how to prepare the best home-cooked meals for half of Wright County! Her kindness never stopped.

Lillians founders Cindy and Sue continue to be inspired by Grandma Lillian's character.

"Grandma Lillian loved people, rich black coffee, and church. She loved a clean house and always paid bills the day she received them. She put quarters in our birthday cards, gave us fresh bread at Christmas time, and always used 'real' butter. Her favorite television program was Lawrence Welk and her favorite game was Dominos. She loved to get dressed in her Sunday best. She never complained about hard work and always drew on the positive. And before she would hang up the phone with us, her last words would be, "Now don't work so hard!

"Grandma Lillian lived a modest life, but taught us all about giving, serving, and putting family first. We opened our first Lillians shoppe in celebration of Grandma Lillian and we are proud to be living out a part of her rich legacy."
